Thorondin
TITLE:
Nethordur a Arphadon Nos Ruiganno (Apprentice Healer & Retainer of House Ruiganno)
DESCRIPTION:
The elven man in front of you is of average length for an elf and looks
young and agile. His skin has a pale colour and his facial features and
the gaze from his deep green eyes often make him resemble a hawk. His long
dark brown hair hangs loosely a little longer than his shoulders and, like
all of his kind, his ears are slightly pointed.
The sparsely embroidered forest-green tunic and the brown trousers he
wears are made of a fine fabric and look elegant in spite of their
plainness.
PERSONA:
Thorondin is an apprentice healer and would mostly be found around the
halls of healing or sometimes in the woods. He is a quiet ellon and appears
very dedicated to his work.
HISTORY:
In the coldest of seasons roughly a millenium ago, the Silvan Thorondin
was born in the valley of Imladris. He had an older sister, Alfawen,
and two older brothers, Fileg and Mavrin.
Mavrin was the oldest of the four. He had a great interest for art and
music, which came to influence the others. Alfawen was the one who found
most interest for painting, and she would often paint excellent pictures
of what she saw in the forest. She also loved to dance when time allowed,
and she tought the younger Thorondin who gladly would dance with her; he
loved music and dancing as well.
Thorondin early found great interest for the woods and the plant life,
and spent much time in the forests of the valley together with Fileg
and Alfawen, who were very close to him. Their mother tought them much
about herbs, and this would help when his sister apprenticed as healer.
Thorondin was quickly amazed by the work of his sister and was eager to
learn what she could teach him until he apprenticed as healer as well.
Fileg, who became a hunter, died in an accident when he and Thorondin
were on a trip to the eastern border of the valley and left the family
in grief. It was Thorondin who had wished to see the valley from the
fascinating heights of the cliffs, and therefore he blames himself.
Thorondin had been a quiet ellon in company of others than his family,
and became more so after the accident.
