Silothiel
TITLE:
Galthor, Arphedil Nos Ruiganno (Gardener, Retainer of House Ruiganno)
DESCRIPTION:
Silothiel is wearing a dress that is the color of the forest. Light greens, dark greens, even hints of brown can be seen on her long dress that trails to the ground. To keep out the spring winds, a dark green cloak lays across her shoulders. Her shoes are simple; made of dark brown leather. At first glance her hair seems to be a dark brown as well, but when the sunlight shines upon her at the right angle, highlights of dark red are revealed in her auburn locks that reach down to her waist. In contrast to the rest of her clothes, she has a bright yellow flower braided into her hair, as she loves all things that grow. Her eyes are also dark green, and her skin is a fine pale color that is reminiscent of the pale flowers that grow in the valley. Around her neck is a silver chain laden with a dark green pendant fashioned as a harp, edged with silver. It is the symbol of her house; Ruiganno.
PERSONA:
Silothiel is a joyful elleth, though her cheerfulness can sometimes lead to naivety and carelessness. She does love song and dance, as do all edhil, but she always finds the greatest joy when walking through the forests or tending the gardens, often spending many hours on either of these tasks. She is also sensitive to the needs of others, and if anyone is in need, though she may not notice at first, she will be at their side in a heartbeat.
HISTORY:
Silothiels parents were of the Laiquendi who followed Elrond when he established Imladris, and are members of Nos Ruiganno. Her father, Thraundhel, is a forester, and her mother, Galalote, is a healer. The first child born to the pair was Adeldineth. Silothiel was born in the year 2360. When she was a child, she always looked up to her older sister as both a guardian and friend. Though her overprotective nature sometimes got in the way of Silothiel's fun and games, she still loved to be with her and listen to her songs and poetry. She also had, and still has, a strong relationship with her parents. They would often tell her stories, including the story of the fall of Denethor, and of the pain and suffering that was endured. Silothiel was moved by this story, and now aspires to recreate the old realm of Ossiriand in the best way she knows how, in the gardens that she attends in the valley. She is a gardener, for all her life she has loved all things that grow, like her parents. She quickly learned the ways of trees and flowers as a child from her father, and was a skilled climber of trees at an early age. Throughout her life she has refined those skills, and can now move through the forest with barely disturbing a twig or leaf. She is now an experienced gardener in the valley.
