Mirinthel

TITLE:
Hirdan (Master Smith) a Gwethril (Ambassador) - Gwathel Nos Forodren (Ally to House Forodren) --- Rivendell Forest - Right Forward

DESCRIPTION:
Tall is this woman among the Firstborn, and as lithe and graceful as a willow set to swaying at the bidding of a gentle breeze. But even the most slender of frames may possess strength unknown, as is foretold in features both fair and fell, wrought by ages of which songs are still sung. Her skin is of smooth, pale alabaster, as if moonlight's kiss were always upon it, chasing away signs of weariness and worldliness alike. And indeed the heavens bless also the depths of her emerald eyes, where an ancient light is kindled akin to how the stars might shine beneath a forest canopy. Down her back flows a fall of raven waves; darker than the deepest hours of night are they, yet soft and shining where the light gilds them. Her humble crown is a delicate circlet of woven silver strands, which holds tiny white gems upon her pale forehead like stars.

A simple garment swathes her lissome frame in layers of pure white, sweeping effortlessly over subtle curves to brush the floor with the softness of petals. The neckline of her gown is draped wide upon her shoulders, leaving both collarbone and shoulderblades elegantly bare. Hands smooth and delicate though aged of years and experience barely peek out from beneath her sleeves, which flow loose and unbound to her fingertips. The only decoration to mark her raiment is a slender ribbon woven of many colors akin to jewels, cinched loosely at her slender waist with a small silver pin formed into the shape of a lyre.

PERSONA:
Many tales of Mirinthel's past have gone unwritten and unknown into this, the Third Age of Middle Earth. Yet here she remains, a proud and fair testament to ages past, and to people never seen upon these shores. Experiences, travels, and ancient wars have lent a wordly wisdom to her emerald eyes, which yet shine with a light that is seen nevermore beyond the Uttermost West, where she was born before the sun and moon were kindled.

With the folk of Elrond does she now share this wisdom willingly, in craft and in all pursuits. A Hirdan reknowned both for her skill in weaponsmithing and her talent for jewel working, Mirinthel has come into her mastery over millenia uncounted, though tales of that mastery's price are known to only a scant few others upon Arda.

Just as her artisanry has worn her hands, Mirinthel's travels have worn many paths for her over these lands and those that have fallen into song. She is named a Gwethril among the Istfariath as much for the present as for the past, when she rode as the friend and messenger of Kings. Her wandering feet lead ever back to Imladris, however, for though none of her family is said to have tarried in Middle Earth, she remains an ally to the Sindar of Nos Forodren for deeds and friendships of which that House's history may tell.
