Ladingolf

TITLE:
Tellenistron o Imladris (Tracker)

DESCRIPTION:
Tall and lithe, this creature's long golden hair is pulled behind his head, a long strand delicately braided in the center as the rest flows halfway down his back. Pointed ears, hair carefully pushed behind them, reveal this creature as an Elf. His soft cobalt eyes are framed by high cheek bones and his fair skin will remain unchanged throughout the long years of his life. Although he is not a physically imposing figure, he is not slight, and his smooth hands and long legs underscore the elegance so often associated with Elves.

He is clad in a dark brown hooded cloak, the hood of which is drawn back and falls against a quiver of yellow-feathered arrows, the fletching peeking from behind his left shoulder. The cloak cascades down his back and ends just above his knees. His long-sleeved shirt, a deep, verdant color, buttons down his left breast, the buttons hidden beneath a flap of cloth. Ornate ebony bracers adorn his wrists. They are adorned with gold-colored ivy vines wrapping around toward his hands in a regular pattern around the wrist guards. His pants, of the same color as his shirt, have a black trim running down the seam. To complete his attire, he is wearing black leather boots. A bow is strung from his right shoulder across his chest.

PERSONA:
He's not a horribly aged elf yet, so the burden of memory doesn't weigh on him as much. His gaiety, such as it is in elves, is more apparent than most, although the recent departure over the sea of his parents has started him on the long path and one day he too will make the final journey.

He is quick to trust, but slow to trust completely. He is drawn to the woods and spends all the time he can there, although looking at a wood from the outside will do. It's good to have a different perspective, and he tries to see things from all of them.

HISTORY:
Ladingolf is newly arrived to the valley of Imladris. As he knelt by the river Bruinen and dipped his long fingers into the cool, clear water, he knew he had finally found a home. Here, if he so chose, there would be peace and companionship after his wanderings.

Born an only child in the year 2,477 of the Third Age in Mirkwood, Ladingolf traveled around the free lands of Middle Earth after his mother and father made the final journey to the Grey Havens. His upbringing in Mirkwood was idyllic. A book in hand and a tree at his back is how many would say he spent his days. At night, he would lie in a soft bed of wildflowers and stare at the stars, looking for the light of the Valar. His love of the dark wood led him to track animals through the forest and then, much to the ire of others, his fellow Elves. Many a day-dreaming acquaintance, about on their daily duties, walked past a stand of bushes only to find a hand shoot out and grab an ankle, accompanied by a pleased and hearty laughter. Prior to his arrival in the valley, Ladingolf had never seen an orc, the detested enemy of the Elven race. In his journeys, limited prior to his arrival in the valley, he has seen the tracks of numerous bands of orcs and the trampled ground, grass, and the destruction they leave in their wake tell their tale.
