Attached to his back is also his longbow together with a small bag containing important things.
PERSONA:
Born in Lorien, he has gained much lore and skills. He is an adept archer as well as a very good singer. He fought bravely with his father in The Battle of the Five Armies after which his parents sailed for the West. His sister lives in Lorien where she was born, too. Helegrhofel came to Imladris to satisfy his longing for knowledge. He likes to spend much of his time in the library reading about several things and the Hall of the Istfariath, working or studying. Or in the forest, with Ruinsul his friend, among flora and fauna.Working in the Guards Guild, he has the opportunity to practice as an archer. Although Helegrhofel offers his friendship easily, he rarely offers his loyalty with it, but then he is bound to his friend. Nevertheless, he is gentle and friendly to everyone.
HISTORY:
Shed by Varda's twilight, by the running waters of Nimrodel, under the golden veil of Mallyrn, in a winter night, an edhel was born. In Lothlorien was Helegrhofel, for thus was named the Quende, raised by his parents. Her name was Ruinsul, a Sinda whose story is long, and his name was Ringil, a Silvan of Amon Thranduil. It had been a long time that their love burned and Helegrhofel was the fruit of it.
The first years of his youth, when games were not still his only interest, he spent to learn; learn of Arda, of the Eldar, of the Darkening and the First Age of Middle Earth, of Numenore and the Last Alliance, of the peoples of Middle-Earth. And thus his interest and love in history was awakened, mainly by the Lady, who knew most of these facts. His spirit was searching everywhere for knowledge. But he also learned other arts: poetry his mother taught him, the spear he learned from his father, though he later chose the longbow.
Soon, he grew both in body and spirit, stronger and wiser, and time came when he longed to learn more than Lothlorien had to offer; for it was a secluded place, a limit to his fea. So during the first months of the year 2452 TA, he set out to Mirkwood, with a few more Silvan and his father, who would visit their people in Amon Thranduil. But there he stayed more than expected, almost half of his life. Ringil was eager to stay with his family in Mirkwood, but since Ruinsul did not want to leave her home, he returned to Lothlorien.
Helegrhofel, however, stayed with his relatives. He grew stronger and deadly with the longbow, through practice in the forest, for the Shadow had began to arise again. But he also satisfied his hunger. Every volume he read, any lore available to be gained. The art of the song he also fostered in the Halls of Thranduil, and lute he learned to play. He visited his people in the Golden Wood a few times. The last time, his sister Lothuile was born and it was then that he stayed longer. But he once again left for Mirkwood.
Many years of the Sun passed, when Ringil, his father, returned to his birthplace; Helegrhofel had already grown mature. Still, however he longed for more. In a few years, King Thranduil marched to Mount Erebor with a great host. To the Battle of the Five Armies. Although both Helegrhofel and his father survived, they both lost friends; and Thuringil, Ringil's brother. The victory was great but the grief greater for them. The next year, both returned to Lothlorien and their family.
Lothuile had grown into a most beautiful elleth, like Ruinsul, her mother was in her youth. But the latter was tired of the world, and so was Ringil. Thus, they chose to sail to the West in search for peace. But none of the children desired to abandon the Outer Lands, yet. They were both too young to leave.
Two years later, in 2944, they set out to Mithlond. Helegrhofel followed them, but only as far as Imladris, where he had decided to move, advised by his mother. Lothuile, however, was not eager to leave her birthplace. But her brother's spirit burned for knowledge again, so he left Lothlorien. In the valley, he bid farewell to his parents as they moved on to the Grey Heavens and their last journey.
In Rivendell he found what he was looking for, knowledge. As a member of the Istfariath, he spent much of his time in their Hall, studying, working, taking part in the politics. He became a retainer of Nos Forodren, for his ancestors hailed from Gondolin; his grandparents were members of the affiliation of Sindarin families in Beleriand and, later, members of Nos Forodren in Eregion. His mother and her father also helped in the building of Imladris, after the Fall of Eregion. Finally he joined the Guards of Imladris, as a Cunir, practicing his skill and art.
