Elenare
TITLE:
Hirrandis, Beriel Arwen, Hiril Nos Telperinnor. (Head Randir, Arwen's Protector, Lady of House Telperinnor)
DESCRIPTION:
Lithe and tall is this figure, one whose eyes would look downward into those of most other creatures of her kind. A beauty sharp as ice, her skin pale, transluscent even, and her silver-gold hair just as fair. Timeless demeanor is wrought apparent by green eyes possessing depth of wisdom and light of joy; they attract most of the attention given to her oval face, only softened by lips pale and full. Her face, neck and shoulders are framed by a cascade of silvery-blond hair which falls loose below her waist. One or another wave --like those where the pointed arches of her ears break the hair fall-- induces the shine to swirl, revealing almost-white strands.
Red silk flows fitted in the form of a dress with long sleeves allowing only the tips of slippered feet to show here and there. The fluid and yielding weave of the tunic dress is accented by the split skirt which reveals slim pants also of silk in the darkest blue of the firmament. The dress bodice fall fitted to the waist, where a fine silver belt lays.
PERSONA:
Elenare woke up under the light of Varda's work before Sun or Moon shone upon Arda and is one of the high-elves who settled in Imladris. Wise and fair she is, one of the randir who bring the tidings of far away lands to those in the Valley. She is Arwen's Beriel, as she was Celebrian's. Save for the occasional mournful singing under the light of stars, Elenare is of good disposition (even when serious) and meets the day with a smile. She has very recently returned from 3 years of wandering south of Imladris.
HISTORY:
Elenare 's green eyes opened to the twilight over Cuivienen, and remain turned up to Varda's lamps to this day. Although not eschewing the light of Arnor once it shone over her steps upon her arrival in Middle Earth, it is nighttime that makes her heart sing, a reminder of a purer light on the land she called her home for millenia.
The path from Cuivienen to Valinor is chronicled by many and needs no repetition. The time it took is neither long nor short in the lives of her brethren and its travails are one and several, each shaping life in delicate and peculiar ways. Of the Vala she speaks little; her posture and knowledge pay consistent and silent tribute to that long sojourn at their home. Loyal to Indis since time unknown, her loyalty was passed to that Vanyar's children. That loyalty in the end caused Elenare to follow them away from Valinor, in the uncertain --and failed-- hope of guiding them and watching over them. Of many memories she remembers the bloodshed when leaving Tirion behind--how could one forget?--as a personal dimming of her being's light as she remembers battle after battle until land broke and sunk.
