TITLE:
Olvaristdir o Imladris a Silmaethor o Magoriath a Berion a Saelon Nos Nevrast (Herbmaster of Imladris, Shining Warrior of Swordsmen, Protector and Counsellor of the House of Nevrast)
DESCRIPTION:
Tall, startlingly so even for one of his race. He carries himself with a stern, perhaps demanding aspect. Night dark hair adorns his head. It falls in soft waves to his shoulders seeming, from the sprinkle of lighter hues amidst its strands, to have captured an aspect of the stars. Soft ageless grey eyes make plain the essence of his face, inquiring, almost judgmental in their gaze. With lips pressed tight together the overall effect is one of appraisal and sober countenance.
Caparisoned in blue and silver he moves with a graceful certainty. A royal blue waistcoat hangs down to his thighs, carefully brocaded with the ripple of the sea; light flecks of silver highlighting the crests of waves. The white shirt beneath flares out about his arms, the light fabric gathering towards his wrists and held by three pale grey stones. Cream breeches clasp his legs, leading down to a pair of knee high night blue leather boots, filigreed silver lines making up a pattern of light amidst the dark material.
PERSONA:
It is said that the few who knew the brief time when neither Morgoth nor Sauron threatened Arda were changed by it. If so then how they have been changed is a mystery. Daerandil is known for many things, chief amongst which is his devotion to his once charge, now Hir - Coronach o Nos Nevrast. Having served the Hir's father and seen Coronach grow into his adulthood some would think that he might perhaps be lax, or less than formal with his Lord. Far from truth would be such words.
Of little surprise given the history of his house Daerandil is known as an accomplished warrior, yet more than that he holds a grasp of herblore both studied and practiced over millenia. It is perhaps only in the halls of healing that a more gentle aspect takes hold of his demeanour. Whilst those of the Tirith and e'en some of the Istfariath know him for quiet, stern judgement, said to be all the worse for his measured tone, it is when amongst those of need that he softens.
Whilst not native to Imladris, Daerandil's presence has walked the halls for many years. He was amongst the first ambassadors from Lindon to the Homely house after its creation. His visits since then have been more frequent and the time spent longer. Culminating in his arrival when the Hir Nos Nevrast made Imladris his home.
