Cyndrial
TITLE:
Silmaethor (Shining Warrior) o Cuniriath o Tirith Imladhrim a Talagand (Harpist) o Imladris
DESCRIPTION:
You look at a slender Silvan, blue eyes glow within the hood covered face, the body is wrapped with a long Lorien Grey cloak that blends with the enviourment. When the cloak is not wrapped around her you can see a pair of rough leather pants and a dagger set at the waist in a pouch. At the feet you see a pair of grey soft boots. On the left shoulder lies a silky blonde hair, which is tied with a silvery hair ribbon. Hanging on her back is a quiver with some grey feathered arrows in it, and a fine, brilliantly crafted longbow with the words "Lhaeg henn o Cyndrial" nicely carved upon it. A faint scent of roses follow ever move this Silvan makes. On the index finger of her right hand there's a shining gold ring. She doesn't seem to be embarrassed by the fact she is wearing men's clothes, as her posture carry confidence and awareness.
PERSONA:
Cyndrial is a young Silvan that came to Imladris from Lothlorien, first thing she did upon her arrival was joining the Tirith o Imladris as a squire for an archer. The elves of Lorien well know of her father, Gilanthus the Knight-Commander, thus they understand her great ambition to be great with the longbow one day. Most of the elves in Imladris though do not know who is her father and because of that do not understand how great her ambition is or what is the source of it. Almost all of the time Cyndrial's hair is decorated with a silver hair ribbon, that ribbon is known to some to be a gift from her mother Caelestis, the only thing Cyndrial may say of her is that she is a Pethril as she doesn't speak much of her mother. When Cyndrial first came to the valley she was carrying an old harp in a very bad condition, every now and then she was found playing and practicing on it. But whenever she noticed someone is listening she would stop playing right away. Since then she gained some confidence and joined the Singers Guild as a skilled Talagand. Now she carries around a beautiful shinning harp that is always kept in excellent condition, that superb harp was made for her by Lanaewen, the valley's brilliant Ganneldan, it was made to remind all who gaze upon it, the fair mallyrn of Lorien. As her skill and talent grew Cyndrial was confident enough to join the Bardic Congress which was held in Mithlond at 3010 TA, there she won the second place for song and poetry, she was very proud and flattered by this and became more and more confident. She was totally different when she came back from Mithlond, none knows what happened there to change her in such a manner. Not long since her return, a fellow elf used her beloved harp as a weapon against a wolverine, dismantling it completely. Ever since her return Cyndrial has been more and more in the company of Sil-Galen whom she had strong feelings for, infact the two were hardly apart. Cyndrial left the valley for a yearlong visit to Lothlorien where she was engaged to Sil-Galen but besides that she is reluctant to talk about what happened there. Later, at the Bardic Congress in Imladris she wed Sil-Galen and the two lived happily together since then, that is until Sil-Galen set out on a dangerous journey, never to return. Cyndrial had sunk in melancholy once she heard news of his death, and since then had rarely been like herself. Lately though, she has shown some improvement, as she began smiling and laughing more often.
HISTORY:
Cyndrial was born in Lothlorien at 2750 TA. She has spent much time there, mostly playing with her friends, hearing tales from her mother Caelestis the Pethril and learning the art of archery from her father Gilanthus--A Knight-Commander in the Order of Lorien. Cyndrial knew nothing but joy there, when she became of age she got a gift from her mother--a silver hair ribbon of old days which Cyndrial wore since then with pride on her hair. Time went on and one day her father came back from a battle and something was different in him as he began suggesting Cyndrial to leave Lothlorien. Cyndrial of course didn't want to and nothing changed, although her father did kept asking her to leave. As Cyndrial reached the age of 240, she finally agreed to leave the Golden Woods and head somewhere else to learn there is more to Middle Earth. After some counselling she decided to move to the peaceful valley of Rivendell. Before leaving, her father presented her with her new longbow-made by his own hands with love and care that may, hoping it will serve her well if ever comes a day she will need it. Cyndrial was heading to Imladris with a group of Minstrels who were heading for the Bardic Congress, on the way they taught her how to play the harp as she showed much interest. Upon reaching Imladris Cyndrial joined the Tirith, as she had great ambitions with the longbow hoping to match her father's skill one day. But as she kept practicing the harp and writing songs, something was unlocked in her, some hidden skill she wasn't aware of. It seems Cyndrial had a great musical talent that she never explored. Under the guidance of the fine musicians of Imladris, Cyndrial's skill grew to a point in which she was confident enough to represent Imladris in the Bardic Congress held in Mithlond at 3010 TA-there she won the second place for song and poetry. Since then she never hid her talent any longer, always happy to perform before a willing audience.
