Alagos

DESCRIPTION:
You see what appears to be a tall and slender man, if it were not for the leaf-shaped ears and almond-shaped eyes of which marks him as an elf. He has decently colored skin, like one who spends a lot of time outdoors. His shoulder length hair has a dark brownish, almost black, look to it. His almond shaped eyes are a piercing green pool, of which closer inspection will have specks of blue. He has the build of an elf, not large looking but still strong, strong enough to lift decent sized objects. Compared to humans, this elf is quite the pillar, his height is decent for Silvan, however by other elf standards he's not too large, _maybe_ average.
He wears a grey cloak, of what looks to be some course material designed to withstand the elements. Under that he wears a dark green tunic of a much softer material than the cloak, just for comfort, and dark brown pants. With closer inspection of his clothing, you see that his cloak has special pockets that can hold anything from a small dagger to a map, his tunic has two small breast pockets and his pants have belt loops, of which contain a brown belt, but no pockets.

HISTORY:
Alagos was born under the given name of Salyavin, in the spring of 2196 of the third age, in Amon Thranduil Mirkwood. Known as Greenwood. This was just after Gandalf the Grey visited Mirkwood and Dol Guldur. He was born in a time of relative peace called the watchful peace. All eyes were on Dol Guldur but nothing really happened. Then it all ended and once again rumors of darkness spread and Mirkwood became a dangerous place to live around the year 2460. Salyavin was a young age of 262 years old at the time, and ready to confront anything. At least his attitude and spirit was, but in truth that was hardly the case. Luckily he was not injured too seriously during that time. He was able to learn much about tracking and hunting, as well as scouting and defending himself. Also during the year 2770, around the time of the dragon Smaug and his attacks on Erebor, he discovered a ranger entering the forest from the region asking for help with passage though the forest. He of course agreed and when they reached the western side of the forest, in return for the help Salyavin was given a cloak of Elven make, the ranger told him that it would probably be better in the hands of an elf then anyone else.
That was his life from about 2469-2841, leaving him at around the age of 645 when he got his chosen name of Alagos. He and a few other tracker friends had spotted agents of Sauron, though they didn't know it at the time, dangerously close to their home. They tracked them for several days through the forest and to Erebor where they hit an unusual windstorm. Not only loosing them, but also nearly getting lost themselves. If it weren't for Salyavin, they would have been lost; he managed to steer them to a small cave to hide out until the storm blew away. His friend began to call him Alagos (storm of wind) just to tease him, it stuck and he eventually choose that for his name.
In 2850 Alagos saw Gandalf the Grey for the first time. He overheard rumors of Sauron, and his first thoughts of doubt in the place he was living spread though him. However, he still did not wish to abandon his home. Then Gandalf, after traveling south through the forest despite warnings, wasn't seen again by Alagos. After Gandalf's departure, things got worse for Alagos, he lost a close friend in an attack during a hunt, and with the growing danger of the surrounding forest, his doubt about the safety of his home grew. That was from 2850-2900 of the Third Age. Alagos was 705 at the time.
2900 was the year Alagos finally decided that Mirkwood was just too dangerous to live in as a whole anymore. He wanted to be able to explore, to travel the forests and not have to worry about what was following him at every second. It had been 50 years since Gandalf had visited Mirkwood, and gone to Dol Guldur with rumors of darkness and Sauron. Mirkwood was a very dangerous place, and he decided it was in his best interest to move before things got worse. He made his plans and got ready through the summer months and made his trip to Imladris the following fall, arriving just before winter hit.
He's spent the rest of his time in and around the areas in Imladris, learning the land and it's creatures, and trying his best to fit in. There he met 'Estel' or Aragorn, as he is known, when he was brought to the house of Elrond in 2933. He had spent 33 years in Imladris already before he bid farewell to Aragorn on his trip out into the wild. Around the same time he saw Arwen who had returned from Lothlorien, though eager to hear of news from the land near his home, he only overheard bits and never really got to ask. As the years moved on, he started to want news from his homeland, even if it was little scraps and bits, but fewer travelers passed through as the roads were getting dangerous. The day Bilbo arrived he celebrated with the others and of course he listened in on his stories. Hearing about what happened to the dragon in Erebor and what happened after the party traveled through Mirkwood. That cheered him up considerably, but he still had urges to want to explore, go out and find news if people were no longer bringing it to him. This was from the years 2900-3008 of the Third Age. With the passing of years, he's contributed to the Forester's guild as a Tracker, and his final choice to join the Guard, he's managed to make himself a comfortable place in his new home. Alagos is currently now around 844 years old.
