Obviously, in order to get the chance to Role Play in Tolkien's world, we have to go beyond what he wrote just a little bit and make up something ourselves. When a reason, or reasons, for a story are made up and the actions set in motion, we have a "tiny plot" - a story within the world our theme is based on, but outside the actual story of the books. Usually, TPs must be designed not to alter the world in a way that would disturb the original story that is "supposed" to happen. But sometimes the admins will allow quite large events. New players usually have to be content with going along in other people's TPs, or practicing with other inexperienced players until the chance comes for a role in a TP. But as you gain experience, you will get the chance to influence events in a TP, and eventually you may get your very own TP idea started.
