Spoofing is using MUSH code to make messages that look like they came from someone or something else. Certainly, the ability to write code is a good thing to have, and objects that do complex things are a great help to the realism of the MUSH, BUT... if you use your code to make fake messages, you may be stepping over the line of good behavior. Be warned that it IS possible to find out where spoofed messages are coming from. If you get caught doing something nasty, you may lose any status you have acquired through good behavior, or you might be thrown out of the MUSH completely. Think very carefully about "jokes" and don't be cruel or interfere with anyone who is IC.
There is a particular sort of spoofing that can cause a great deal of trouble. This is paging everyone online at once. It is a bad thing to do because you can disturb people who are trying to be IC, and because it uses a lot of CPU power. Please do not do this.
