Your description, or "desc" (pronounced like "desk" by grizzled MUSHers), is how you look to the rest of the MUSH world. Your description should only include what people can see from a couple feet away (nothing about your name, your job, or where you live that is not obvious) and extra details can be supplied with +inspect. (See +help +inspect.) You history will have some impact on your description, of course, but most of your history will have to be learned by others in RP, not by looking at you. If necessary, look up the commands to create your description. Type: "help @describe" and "help @edit" for built in help. You can ask another player for help if you are still confused.
Think about what Elves in general look like. It is ok to use some words and phrases just as Tolkien used them in the books. We are trying to recreate his world, after all. Look at some other people's descriptions, (Use +desc playername.) and feel free to ask for help. You can have several descriptions for different tasks your character may be doing (work, travel, etc.), and switch them quickly with the wardrobe commands. (See +help wardrobe.) Later, as you become skillful with MUSH code, you can actually write descriptions that look different to different people, depending on their culture or species.
