IMNEWS POSITIONS

Imladris offers a wide variety of jobs open for new players. To get a complete list of available positions, type +IMNEWS TITLES. The majority of these jobs are open for new players, and you should make your choice of a job based upon your concept for the character. You do not have to start with a young character -- in general, it is good to choose a character at least two or three hundred years old, and any age up to about three thousand years is completely normal. You are free to select jobs that fit the age and interests of the character you want to play. However, any positions marked with an (R) (like officers of the Guard, ambassadors, etc.) are restricted to experienced players, and require approval through the LA staff. Generally you will not get permission to play a restricted title until you have played here for some months. To find out which players hold a particular title, try typing '+imlist/title *<title>*' (for example, '+imlist/title *Nethordur*' to see all the apprentice healers). To find out a particular players title, type 'ex *<playername>/title'. Example: Type 'ex *elrond/title' If you choose to play a younger elf (in the 100-500 age range) you may wish to consider one of the entry level positions recommended for younger characters.
