XV Newbie-Helping: Not Just for Greeters The bottom line of all the information provided here is that it's our job to make people feel welcome and to help them get set up. That's all of us, not just greeters. Even if you're not a greeter, please try to help newbies. Pay attention to who's logged on. Page people you don't know and introduce yourself. Make an effort to page newbies and invite them to roleplay with you. Take the time to explain things to them, and don't get impatient when they ask the same question multiple times. And if they ask for help on the com, for heaven's sake, answer them. Don't ignore them. Above all, remember that people tend to roleplay with friends.
