   As far as 'joining' one of these Houses is concerned, as mentioned above, the large majority of Imladhrim are a part of the four major Houses: Forodren, Narthanaer, Ruiganno, and Teleralda. Membership in one of these four major Houses is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED at +titling - we suggest that new players develop a history with ties to one of the four (Forodren or Narthanaer for Sindar; Ruiganno or Teleralda for Silvans) along with making a choice of guild(s). If you would like advice on which House best suits your character, talk to a Local Admin (+locals). More information about the individual Houses can be found by following the note at the bottom of this +imnews section.
  
  
    Finally, it should be noted that House members do not have 'ranks' as such within the House. There is a given Lord/Lady of the House, who will be an NPC available for temp-alting by designated members of the House, as well as immediate kin (though this is NOT a requirement for joining, it is likely that members of a given House will be loosely related to some degree). The majority of a given House's membership will be titled as "Retainers". In addition, active RPers in each house may be appointed to one of the restricted titles listed in +imnews houses nobles, including at least a Herunnur (Steward) and Arphedor (Herald) for each House. (These positions will be appointed by the LAs.)
