IMNEWS GUILDS GUARD
Although most of the inhabitants of Imladris are to some extent capable of defending their home should it come to it, the Tirith Imladris consists of those elves who have dedicated themselves to the defense of the valley, and the safety of its inhabitants. The valley itself is, of course, safe from evil, but it is the responsibility of the guards of Imladris to maintain a degree of safety in the surrounding lands, keeping sharp-eyed lookouts in their secret outposts. The numerous patrols which pass like the wind through the many hidden paths and vales about the valley are theirs, and it is the barbed shafts of the Tirith Imladris which have kept the goblins of the Misty Mountains in their foul caverns, maintaining relatively safe passage up to the High Pass since the battle of the five armies, until recently. Many times the keen elf forged blades of the Tirith have slain the huge fearsome trolls of the Ettenmoors who enter the regions to the north and west in search of easy meat and plunder. Along with the Dunedain, who still roam the lands of once great Arnor, the guard of the last homely house offer the only hope of safety for the inhabitants of Imladris who travel abroad on their various errands, providing escorts where necessary, and working unceasingly to fulfill their charge.
