The Feature Character is a special instance in this culture more than any other, since Arnor is a 'feature culture' in more ways than one. Every one of us has the statistical bonuses and goodies allotted elsewhere to Features, and admission to this culture is in some ways even more difficult than earning a Feature somewhere else. It is certainly more demanding to RP a character here than it is to play most Features. That said, being awarded any Feature status among the Dunedain is an extremely special honour indeed, and a rare one.

Unlike some cultures, we do not possess a preponderance of book features, having only Halbarad and, of course, Aragorn to our name. (For more information on these characters, see the +DNEWS entry on each.) This leaves us in a difficult position with Non-Book Features, as our numbers are restricted as a whole and we are all qualified to play feature characters.

As a direct result of this situation, Non-Book Features will be awarded only in the rarest of instances to the most deserving of players. It is an honour to be given for service above and beyond the call of duty indeed, and in addition usually only one to be bestowed when the feature of Halbarad is already filled.

Please see the +DNEWS for HALBARAD and ARAGORN.
